Figma has been a go-to for most of us designers for literally everything, be it creating presentations, mood boards, or editing documents.

However, here’s something that Figma has launched at Config 2024 that has blown away my mind! “Figma Slides”

Although I’m a bit late to the party, this blog has been in my drafts for nearly two weeks. Finally, it’s time to publish it. So, let’s dive right in⬇️

Now you can create your presentations, pitches/ decks in Figma itself combined with the OG features like Auto layout, embedded prototypes, and much more!!

Here is how “Slides” can be leveraged in our day-to-day work;

1- User research Deck

2- UX case studies

3- Idea Pitches

4- Product Roadmap

5- Design Reviews

Some of the features that truly caught my attention

1- Add your prototypes directly into decks 😎

Now we no longer need to screen record the prototypes & add them to the pitch deck. This used to be frustrating😫 when there was even a slight change introduced later on, in the design & the entire prototype needed to be screen re-recorded! This feature is going to make life so much simpler🍀now.

2- Figma Design panel features as our superpower 🦹‍♀️

The best news for all the designers- You can access all your Figma design features like auto-layout, text styling, and everything else. You get full control in the sense that you’ve both presentation mode features + design mode features which makes it a power-packed collaboration tool & enables co-creation with non-designers on the team as well.

3-Templates for the win 👩🏼‍💻

Yes, we got templates in most of the presentation tools, but since Figma is the first one to come up with a designer-oriented presentation-making tool, the templates we find here are also design-focused with complete context. It’s always great to start from somewhere, rather than starting from scratch!

4- Add live interactions into your slides 🤓

Make your presentations much more interactive by adding up live interactions like Polls/Alignment Scales and fast-tracking the decision-making process. On top of that; the prototypes which you add up in the slides, you’ll be able to see every user’s cursor on it. Isn’t that super cool?

5- Adjust the tone of copy with AI ✨

This is one of my favourite features from the new launches, wherein you can very conveniently choose the tone of your UX copy like “Professional”, “Casual”, “Expanded” etc.

Hope you enjoyed reading it ! Stay awesome and see you in the next blog!❤️Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn and stay in touch!
