We all have been hearing about ChatGPT for quite some time now. I am sure each one of us has asked something very random to ChatGPT, and might or might not have received an impressive response though. Well, as many leaders have been talking about, it's time that we upgrade our skillset & become proficient in using AI Tools effectively.

I have been exploring ChatGPT for a while now, whether it’s using it for research or relying on helpful YouTube videos and online e-books to learn how to use it properly.

In this blog, I’ll be Summarizing the learnings I have had about ChatGPT till now, Sharing tricks for creative prompts with examples & resources for further learning.

What is a Prompt?

In simple words, We always have to command the AI tool to get effective, relevant & useful responses. This command is called a Prompt. If we are able to give good commands, the results will also be good. However, if our commands are weak, the results are also expected to be weak.

The process of designing effective prompts is called Prompt Engineering. Now, let’s explore how to create effective ChatGPT prompts that encourage engaging and informative conversations.

💪The Power of Defining Purpose and Focus

Before you start to write the prompt, it is important that you have a clear idea of what you’re trying to achieve through this conversation. Is your goal to provide information, get an answer, or get a suggestion?

🗣Use Clear and Concise Language

To make your prompts easy to understand, it’s important to be clear and brief. Avoid using extra words or phrases that could distract from the main point of the prompt.

😌Define your Jargons

If you are using jargon or technical terms in your prompt, make sure to provide clear definitions for them. This will help ChatGPT create more effective responses as it leaves less space for misunderstanding between the user & GPT.

🙅‍♂️Avoid Ambiguous Language

Oh, and just like humans, ChatGPT also gets anxious around ambiguity, Just Kidding. Basically, using language that can lead to multiple interpretations can be confusing & lead to misunderstandings, which is definitely not on our to-do list. So, aim to be as specific as possible in your prompts and avoid using words or phrases that have multiple meanings.

🎭The ‘Act As” hack

Well, this is one trick with which I have been insanely obsessed. What happens here is that you ask ChatGPT to act as a “specific person” and get their advice on anything. Let's understand through the below example;
